ORANGE CRANBERRY SAUCE
Makes approx.. 2 pints - Serve chilled or warm
Ingredients
2 12 oz Packages Fresh Cranberries
Zest from 2 Oranges
3-4 Cinnamon Sticks
2 cups Orange Juice (Squeeze it yourself, or buy a brand that has LOTS OF PULP)
Water – to cover cranberries after orange juice added
1-1/2 cup of Sugar
2 Tbls Orange Liquor (Cointreau, Triple Sec, Grand Marnier)
Directions
In a medium heavy saucepan, combine cranberries, orange zest,
orange juice, sugar, cinnamon sticks. Add enough water to
cover the cranberries then bring to a boil over high heat.
Reduce heat and simmer for approx.. 30-40 mins until
cranberries thickened. Taste and add additional sugar if not
sweet enough. Let mixture cool a bit (about 20 minutes), then add the orange
liquor. Refrigerate in a covered container.
